Valentina Božič holds a PHD from School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana with a minor in Tourism and a Masters Degree (MSCBA) in Marketing from the same institution. Lecturer and a member of many Tourism related associations has been extensively trained during her career in Team Leadership, Sales and Marketing Strategy, International Growth strategy and Development as well as in Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness. Valentina is fluent in Slovenian, English, Croatian and Serbian languages.
EXPERIENCE
Over 25 years of experience in the Service industry, predominately Hospitality.
Career Experience as Hotel Director, GM, Marketing & Sales Director and Executive Director of Operations for companies and brands such as Terme Čatež, Lifeclass Hotels & SPA and Sava hotels & Resorts. Valentina also ran Sales and Sales & Marketing departments in two major Slovenian retail companies TUS and Merkur leading teams and organization of 1.000 – 4.000 employees.
Active in sharing her knowledge and expertise, she helped many Slovenian and Croatian companies in building growth strategies, setting efficient organizations and train in service excellence. She also helped companies Terme Dobrna, Unitur and Hoteli Bernardin in developing their own service SOPs.
Valentina gained international experience with organizing and leading Global Sales and Marketing Office for Nektar Natura where she as a Director of Marketing and Sales cooperated in market development, negotiations, marketing and selling activities for brands such as Accor, Wyndham Hotel Group, IHG, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and For Points by Sheraton.
Visiting professor at University of Maribor, Faculty of Tourism for subjects of Marketing and Market Research and Tourism Market Communication.
